Subaru has announced they will once again be partnering with Operation Warm to help provide brand-new socks, shoes, and coats to children in urgent need. Since the start of the partnership in 2024, Subaru and Operation Warm have provided these essentials to over 430,000 children through gifting events across the country. This season, over 620 Subaru retailers will host giving events, where children will be able to pick out their own brand-new items.

Operation Warm is a national nonprofit organization that manufactures coats, socks, and shoes for children in need. They understand these items provide more than just warmth for kids; they can also provide confidence, comfort, and hope. Operation Warm primarily serves Title 1 schools, Head Start programs, homeless shelters, and other organizations with an urgent need. They have been able to serve over 7 million children in their 26 years of service, and we are so excited to partner with them again this year!

Alan Bethke, the Senior Vice President of Marketing of Subaru of America, states: “We’ve seen firsthand how a new coat or pair of shoes and socks can transform and enhance a child’s confidence. As we begin our third year of collaboration with Operation Warm, we’re honored to continue working alongside our retailers to support families and communities who need it most, helping to ensure that every child feels ready to take on the day ahead and succeed.”

We are pleased to announce that Diehl Subaru will be hosting an Operation Warm event at the Eric Snow YMCA this January! On the 21st from 5-6:30pm, we will be passing out over 400 coats, shoes, and socks. The YMCA will also have games, crafts, cookies, and hot cocoa available.
