Diehl Subaru of Massillon Gives Back

If you walked through the front doors of Diehl Subaru of Massillon, you would immediately be greeted by a Christmas tree decorated with dog toys. This tree serves as home base for all donations to the Stark County Humane Society. While the Subaru brand has been known for their philanthropy, Diehl wanted to go further and give back to the local community.

For the past six years, Diehl Subaru has been committed to giving back to the local community. They partnered with the Stark County Humane Society and Perry Helping Perry—a foundation that focuses on building community by helping Perry residents in need. To date, Diehl Subaru has raised over $100,000 in donations for these two groups, in addition to hosting and attending fundraising events.

This month, Diehl Subaru is collecting items to donate to these organizations. They’re looking for non-perishable food items to donate to Perry Helping Perry and pet items for the Stark County Humane Society like leashes, dog/cat food, toys, bedding, and cleaning supplies. Diehl has already committed to donating 270 jars of peanut butter 27 boxes of cat food!

Diehl Subaru also announced that their December charity of the month is the Josette Beddell Memorial Foundation. The group was established in 2010 to honor Josette Beddell, who lost her battle with breast cancer. The foundation is rooted in her ideals of family, community, and the importance of giving back. Every day, the foundation works to better the lives of families in Northeast Ohio affected by cancer by providing grants and scholarships to those that need them most. Diehl Subaru has pledged to support them by donating $25 for every new car sold in December and is excited to work with a great organization again.

It’s not just our Subaru store that’s making an impact; the Subaru corporation hosts their own fundraiser too! The Subaru “Share the Love” event runs from Nov 20 to Jan 2 and donates $250 for every car sold to a charity of the customer’s choosing. On top of that, Diehl Subaru will donate an additional $75! But it’s not just sales that’s running this event, as Subaru donates $5 per oil change done in our service department.

All throughout the year, Diehl Subaru collects non-perishable food items, used bikes, and school supplies for Perry Helping Perry and pet items for the Stark County Humane Society at their dealership. They are committed to giving back to those that need it most!
